Learning about my heritage and mimicking my Armenian ancestors. I focused on tradition and manual work. Prevalent themes were nostalgia, ornamentation, self discovery and craftsmanship.

Photography and Graphic Design
With a material based and time consuming practice it became clear that fluidity and ease of motion was important. The obvious step was photography and Graphic design. I began with event photography as a way to network and create traffic to my social media. My eye then moved to everyday angles and wide landscape shots. Manipulating colour and shapes into content that made me happy was my way of learning Photoshop and Lightroom.

Videography and Editing
I wanted to bring my art to life. A gallery space and instagram feed wasn't working for me. My work became more complex and in order to properly tell its story I had to face my fear and begin the daunting task of filmmaking. Youtube was always an elusive goal but the overwhelm of the video format was one of my biggest hurdles. Directing and producing my first short film was my leap into the unknown.
