My art and practice shifts and evolves through time but what remains is the focus on looking at materials and images differently. Whether I manipulate an object or image, it's safe to say that nothing is as it seems. You'll learn, with me, that regardless of the result, process is everything

MOR OF my Story

Woman With Eyes Of Gold

It all started with...

Visual Art

Every high school career test said artist and I hated everything else. How do you build a career in a fickle industry with no real path to success? So I started with the ''basics''. Learning about my heritage and mimicking my Armenian ancestors. I focused on tradition and manual work. Prevalent themes were nostalgia, ornamentation, self discovery and craftsmanship.

It then evolved to...

Jewelry

Make On Repeat was born. After starting to adorn my own body, I shifted to making more accessible items for other people. Opening a short lived Etsy page, participating in multiple pop ups and making custom pieces for clients. It was exciting to see people proudly wearing my work.

Videography and Editing

I wanted to bring my art to life. A gallery space and instagram feed wasn't working for me. My work became more complex and in order to properly tell its story I had to face my fear and begin the daunting task of filmmaking. Youtube was always an elusive goal but the overwhelm of the video format was one of my biggest hurdles. Directing and producing my first short film was my leap into the unknown.

The next phase...

Artistic Director X Prop Making

Equiped with all the above knowledge I was simultaneously building my career in the film industry and getting my own contracts on the side.
